Fundraiser Update 🤍

First, thank you all so much for your continued love, support, and generosity. Every kind word, donation, and share has meant more to us than we can express.

I wanted to provide a little update on where we are in our journey. At this point, all of the funds we had saved and raised have gone toward fertility testing. Before we could begin treatment, we needed a number of additional evaluations due to my history of endometriosis. This included testing to ensure my uterus and fallopian tubes were healthy enough to move forward. Through that process, we learned that one of my fallopian tubes is unfortunately not functional, but we’re incredibly grateful to have answers and a clearer understanding of what we’re working with.

There are so many unexpected expenses that come with this journey, and we truly had no idea how quickly they would add up. The good news is that we now have a much better understanding of my ovulation cycle, our chances of conception, and the best path forward.

Our next step is to continue saving so we can move ahead with treatment. Because the costs of IVF, IUI, and ICI vary so significantly, we’ve decided that when we’re financially able, we’ll begin with up to three rounds of ICI in hopes of achieving a successful pregnancy during those attempts.

While this journey hasn’t moved as quickly as we had hoped, we’re remaining optimistic and taking it one step at a time. We hope that sometime next year we’ll be able to come back here and share the happiest update of all.
