I'm learning the sweetness of being prayed over. So many of you have told me that you're praying for me, and it encourages my heart every time. To think people would take time to pause and pray for God to work in my heart and life is a truly a gift of love.

There's a group of women I've been praying with for the past 8 years that are dear to my heart. Some of these friends I've been praying with since Silas was in kindergarten! This morning our Bethany Moms in Prayer group met for a special time of prayer for my upcoming surgery and all the things this season is bringing. 

Hearing friends pray is an intimate look into their relationship with Jesus. I love the bond we experience as we humbly bow before our faithful God to praise him, to ask for his continued care, and to plead his promises. Prayer beautifully expresses our dependence on God. And these days, I'm more and more aware of my dependence on him. 

God has been providing for us all along, but these added provisions of practical helps, meal gift cards, and praying friends are God's love made tangible.
