The Manley Family
My husband Leigh is starting to homeschool in my stead, meals that have been arranged are being delivered, he is trying to find a new normal for the kids, and my mom is taking off work as well to help. I saw the kids for the first time and they’re excited about Halloween and costumes and upcoming Fall events. They keep asking if I’m going to die and I keep reassuring them that I’m recovering and being spoiled with delicious hospital food and lots of new friends to talk to. I’m told I’m the most stable patient on the floor and doing very well. Pain management and rest are my needs. I’m told I’m doing amazing with no neural deficits so my nurses are the busy charge nurses because I don’t need much and and considered low maintenance for a neuro patient. I love having visitors and giving out Jesus Loved You bracelets and snacks to the staff here. I sleep a lot and read some and am going to start listening to audio books. Thank you so so much for supporting my family during this time. Navigating the financial part of this is the last thing we’ve had to think about and I’m just so grateful for each and every one of you for making that happen. Everyone who is making it easier on Leigh in any way, I thank you. What I do in a day is a lot and I do make it look easy—it most definitely is not. I appreciate you. Please continue to reach out to my sister Brittany Hilburn (843) 344-1838 and my mom Jean Nance 843-245-5992 for ways to assist in everyday life. My husband isn’t sure what he needs but the women in ny life are good at knowing. Thank you thank you thank you again.
