Dear beloved,

We are truly marveling at seeing you all being the hands and feet of Christ. What a testimony this is to the world of John 13:35. It can be so easy to want to "pay back" all your generosity, but instead we will receive it and thank God for your faithfulness. May the Lord richly bless your stewardship of the gifts and talents he's given to you.

Let me communicate the details first: Phil was formally diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) on Friday, August 28. We were sent straight to Emory. This consisted of having to go through the ER to get to see an on-call oncologist. We in a room in the ER until early Saturday morning where we were transferred to an upstairs room. We then were able to see the oncologist in the afternoon. We are currently waiting for a bed to open up to be transferred to the oncology area.

We are told Phillip will be here for about 2-4 weeks. Over the next few days the subtype of B-ALL will be determined. This specifies the treatment. 

We have had amazing host of people (church, Sardis, family and friends) begin organizing needs for these upcoming months. When I have access to that calendar, it will be shared here. 

GK Chesterton once said, “The most extraordinary thing in the world is an ordinary man and an ordinary woman and their ordinary children.” But, in this season, I think the most extraordinary things is an ordinary Christian seeing her ordinary Christian friends serve her ordinary needs.
