At the end of April Ashley experienced an unforgettable unimaginable medical emergency. With her husband by her side who quickly alerted her family inside the home Ashley was in cardiac arrest. Among all emergency personnel efforts they were able to restart her heart and transport her to the nearby hospital. It has been a very long journey since that unforgettable April evening. With many repeat test, many difficult decisions, alot of "what ifs", hospital transfers, children involved and always family drama. Ashley has suffered a loss of oxygen to the brain and has a condition called Anoxic Brain Injury. Her cause of the cardic arrest is unknown. The healing of this can be days, months, years or may never fully wake up completely at all. There is still alot of unknowns at this point. Phil is doing his best to care for his wife. Making hard decisions and everyone involved need to be respectful as this is his wife the mother to his children. The family at the time had asked for time with no messages or questions to process things. Now there has been a support page for items to help with personal care, help Ashley be more comfortable and donations to help with other expenses. We appreciate the support everyone has given us already. Everything that is bought or money donated is used in the best interest of Ashley.
