Bradford McKinney Leaser

May 20, 1986 - July 8, 2026

Bradford McKinney Leaser passed away on July 8, 2026, in Novato, California, at the age of 40.

Brad was a devoted husband, father, and lifelong learner. He earned his bachelor's degree in Economics and Medieval and Early Modern Studies from UC Davis, graduating with honors, before going on to complete a Master of Science in Management from the University of Massachusetts Boston.

Brad's professional life was always rooted in family. From June 2010 to March 2020, he and his family operated Inspired Senior Living Options, dedicated to the wellbeing of older adults. In March 2020, he and his family took over Sjaak's Organic Chocolates, a beloved vegan chocolate business, which he ran together with them until January 2024. After both businesses came to a close, Brad returned to school to pursue a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from Touro University, continuing his commitment to supporting others. He was on the path to becoming a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

Those who knew Brad knew his love of board games — he had amassed a collection of hundreds, and there's a good chance you shared a table and a game with him at some point. He was an avid reader, always working through some new audiobook or idea. He found deep peace out on the water while fishing, and above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family.

Brad is survived by his wife and their two young children, who were the center of his world. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother.

Brad will be remembered for his sharp mind, his strong opinions, his generosity, and his willingness to teach you how to play a board game. He leaves behind a legacy of curiosity and love for his family that will be carried forward by all who loved him.

A celebration of life will be held on August 8, 2026.

In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a SupportNow fund to help Brad's wife and children: supportnow.org/the-leaser-family
