Madison handled the rest of the chemotherapy like a rockstar, but the family has enjoyed getting to just be home the past week to recover. Besides some nausea, Madison has been in great spirits this week.
Today, she had her first appointment post-chemo, and thankfully her blood tests looked great and she did not need the anticipated blood transfusion. We will take all the little victories (and less hospital time) we can get! Her white blood cell count is still low, so needing to be extra cautious with germs-thankful for the spring weather so she can enjoy being outside.
March 31st will start the next 5 day round of chemo. From there, April 15-18 will be her hospital stay to start collecting the stem cells for her transplant (most likely end june/july).
Please continue to keep Madison and the entire family in your thoughts and prayers as the hospital days are long and tiring.
Madison is a true fighter and we appreciate all the support!
