Hi everyone, Crystal here.
There’s a part of this journey I haven’t talked about much yet: the mental health of the caregiver. After 42 rounds of chemo, I’ve realized that I can’t be the "offensive coordinator" for John’s treatment if I’m running on empty. This fight is heavy. It’s exhausting to navigate canceled flights, 46-hour pumps, and the constant search for the next trial.
I am so grateful to share that City of Hope in Zion doesn't just look after John; they look after me, too. They provide me with a dedicated therapist so I can process the stress, stay grounded, and keep my head in the game. Being "on my top game" isn't just about organizing meds; it’s about having the emotional strength to keep pushing for that cure.
Our Current Status:
We are home in Harrisburg.  I am using this time to connect with trial coordinators.
How You Can Help:
• The Zion Fund: Your support covers our 3-day stays in Zion—time we must spend there because John cannot fly while his pump is active.
• Share the Journey: When you share our SupportNow page, you’re helping us find the leads we need for an MSS clinical trial.
• A Kind Word: Sometimes just knowing people are in our corner gives me that extra boost to keep going.
Thank you for being part of our "support crew." We are 42 rounds in, and we are just getting started.
Please follow my TikTok and other social media accounts and share my videos. If possible please donate to help us keep fighting!
