Stepping up for Silas

Hi friends and family. I’m coming to you again for support for the Horton Family. Silas has been through so much in his short life… more than most of us will experience in a lifetime. He has come so far and has exceeded the expectations of all his doctors. Lauren and Nate have gone above and beyond sacrificing everything to give him the absolute best advantage in life. He has been in therapy to learn to walk and talk and has made so much progress. Lauren has been looking into this intensive therapy in North Carolina and feels it will be exactly what Silas needs to get him walking independently. These two week intensives are known to be as effective as one whole year in therapy. Silas would attend ten days of occupational therapy (1 session per day) and ten days of physical therapy (2 sessions per day). The cost is $7100.00 and of course is not covered by insurance.
It’s really important that Silas start walking soon for proper muscle development and to give him the best outcome. Now is the time because he is young still and his brain is at a crucial stage for learning. As he gets older, it only gets harder.
Everyone says it takes a village, but everyone has their own lives and kids to look after. This is the new village.. supporting others financially when they are really in need and when being there physically just isn’t possible. This is the village the Hortons need right now. They are forever grateful for everything our friends and family have done for them and are humbled by the support they’ve received.

I have shared and hope that folks will help out even with a few dollars! Lauren is the sweetest young lady who gave me the most amazing memories in culinary school.

Donation made and fingers crossed friends and family will pay it forward!
