Hi friends and family -
We wanted to share a brief update to help answer your questions of 1) how Banks is doing and 2) how you can help.
Banks is still at the hospital (CHOA, Egelston) undergoing tests after a breathing episode last Thursday morning. He is stable, Martie and Taylor are with him, and they know that they are all in the best of hands there.
A sleep study was completed yesterday which showed signs of obstructive sleep apnea, and an MRI is scheduled for this afternoon but has been moved several times due to availability. Please pray that this occurs ASAP as it will help provide more information for the team (along with the results of the sleep study), to see what problem areas there are and how to prevent further episodes in the future.
Martie and Taylor's hopes—along with the doctors'-is that a solid plan is created before they head home in order to manage Banks' breathing and to know exactly how to monitor it in order to keep him safe. Please be praying for specific answers and for peace for Martie and Taylor. All are exhausted because it's day five in the hospital—join us in asking God for supernatural rest for Martie and Taylor and that they would continue to trust Him with Banks.
Food needs are covered, both at home and at the hospital. Thank you so much for your generosity. In the meantime, here are some other ways to support them at this time:
- We are adding playdates for Knox and Davis to the calendar for the next several weeks.
- There is a weekly slot to mow their lawn (details in those specific posts).
- Regular meal train options that extend through August are still available.
Thank you for your continued support of the Hendricks!
