Sky started consolidation last Monday which meant a new list of medicines/chemo in this new phase. She was struggling at the beginning of the week and on Monday night vomited every 5-10 mins from 10pm until 4am and then every 30 minutes until 8am. After some more vomiting over the next few days the doctors decided to make a change to the medicine on her hospital visit on Thursday and she has been relatively fine since although is still on nausea meds around the clock and will continue to be until the end of consolidation.

She will be back in the hospital each Monday and Thursday now for the next 2 months. She is coping well but to the visits are quite intense at the moment. I have the boys whilst working at home as my Nan went back to the UK on Tuesday of this past week, and they do a good job of looking after each other despite a few arguments here and there!

We did manage to make it to the zoo just before the start of consolidation and had a really nice finish to lovely mini break whilst my nan was still here. We won’t be able to go to church or do certain things whilst Sky is in consolidation with her immune system being very weakened but she is still able to go to the pool which she seems very pleased about.

Back to the hospital at 7am tomorrow and another week to take each day at a time and we remain ever thankful for the care that Sky continues to receive from everyone.

Love to all
Michael, Poppy, Nathan, Elijah, and Sky

Sky’s meds for consolidation:

thankyou for letting us all know about Sky's progressing treatment ... how hard it is for her little body and for you and Poppy as parents having to watch her go through such a lot ... what a list/combination of drugs indeed !! ... I know you know you are all being upheld in prayer and much more so now that there's to be this time of keeping Sky safe in isolation ... love and hugs to you all and thanks again that you're able to keep everyone updated 🥰

Hey Michael and family, just wanted to say that your mum was great at keeping us in the loop to begin with and now with the website. We have 3 young children, so I can't even imagine what you guys are going through the Lord is clearly very present. We're praying for Sky's healing and the doctors as they treat her. We're praying for the Lord's strength for each of you, as you all go through this together. Much love from The Corkills (Edinburgh)
