Caleb was visited the last few days by many people who love him. Saturday he rallied in a huge way and even completed a small lego kit and some sticker pages. He was very tired that evening.
Caleb was increasingly agitated on Sunday. Around 8pm Sunday night a nurse came to see him and gave us new medications for him. The medications allowed him to sleep.
Monday a social worker and nurse came to see him. At that time they determined he was "actively dying." This meant he had hours to possibly days left to live. It has always been extremely important to Caleb to finish projects. We let him know he did a good job on this project and it was complete. We prayed he would know that this project was done and be able to let go knowing he finished well. He never woke up again. Caleb passed away in his room last night (4/21) with people who loved him at his side. He will be working on projects with Jesus now. We look forward to seeing him again someday!
This feels like it has all gone very fast. We are still coming to grips with everything that has happened. It may take some time but we will post an update when we have the information about Caleb’s celebration of life.
Thank you for walking this road with us.
Prayer Request:
As you can imagine this is a lot for our family to process. We ask for prayer especially for Logan that he would navigate this difficult experience well.
