I'm very fortunate that one of my best friends from college, Melissa, also has a child with disabilities. She's been an invaluable source of encouragement and strength. She know's what this rare disease life is all about.

Her family also successfully fundraised for a mobility van a couple years ago. A great idea she and her daughter had, was to host a lemonade stand. And to her surprise, folks all over the country hosted their own lemonade stands, and it was a huge success!
