Hi everyone! First and foremost, sorry for not posting updates weekly. I had the best intentions to do just that, but then life happens LOL.
As of this week I have completed 3/8 rounds of chemo. To date that equates to 9 total weekly infusions. My rhythm definitely seems to be that “big chemo” weeks hit me with gnarly fatigue, while “little chemo” weeks are a breeze. This was a “little chemo” week and I feel like a million bucks. Just like you’ve all said, cancer picked the wrong woman! Oh and the chemo is working like a charm! My tumor has shrunk so much, we can no longer feel it. Best guess is that it has shrunk from its original 4.3cm to probably half a cm now! An MRI on July 24th will confirm my progress.
Thanks again to all the support you’ve all been sending our way. Jess added meal dates through September which align to my full chemo journey. Home cooked meals and DoorDash gift cards have been the biggest help. I can’t express how great it has been to have that mental and physical load lifted, especially on those “big chemo” weeks!
And finally, I attached a photo from Luka’s birthday! He turned THREE last Saturday. Can you believe it?! We had a lovely, small family gathering to celebrate our littlest love complete with pasta and baseball - his favorites!
