We are so thankful that Hope and the babies have been closely monitored each day. In the past few days, the doctors have grown increasingly concerned with important indicators in the health of the little twin (weighing in at the 1-percentile). We are told that delivery is likely soon this week, or next week. Hope has just received her second round of steroids to help the twins' lungs develop and was on magnesium overnight to supply extra neurological protection for imminent delivery.

  • Please pray that the babies could stay inside Hope as long as possible, even if it's just to 30 weeks (Mon, Dec 8)!
  • Please pray for discernment for the doctors to know when it's safer for the babies to be on the outside rather than the inside.
  • Please pray for endurance for Hope. The long hours of fetal heart monitoring, sometimes through the night, is very physically demanding on Hope.Β

Dear Ben and Hope, Fred and I are holding you, and those precious babies, close in our hearts. We’re praying for strength and steady encouragement for all of you β€” that the care the twins are receiving will be wonderfully effective, and that the delivery will wait until after the 8th, or even longer. And Hope, we’re especially praying that you’re able to find moments of real rest, even with all the monitoring and commotion around you. With much love,

Dear Hope and Ben, I pray that you will know God's holding presence. I've prayed these verses over our little Audrey (and for myself:) from the beginning and all through our stay in the NICU/SCU: "For I am the LORD your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, 'Do not fear, I will help you.'" (Isaiah 41:13)

We are praying over here in Arizona and know that it’s all in God’s hands! Praying for strength and patience and endurance for Hope, continued growth for the babies and that they remain in their current, cozy home for as long as possible (at least until Monday!) and support in the knowledge of the multiple doctors’ abilities to make the right decision at the right time. God is good all the time. All the time God is good.
