We thank the Lord for the lives of our precious baby boys, born in the afternoon on December 10, 2025: introducing Calvin and Simeon!

Calvin weighed 3 lb 12 oz and Simeon weighed 2 lb 13 oz, even bigger than we expected. The name Simeon means “the Lord has heard,” for He has heard our prayers! As this season of Advent reminds us, we have a God who is not far, but draws near as a little babe attentive to the cries of our hearts.
 
Mom and babies are all doing well. The twins were born at just the right time as Simeon, the Little Baby, went into distress and it only escalated as we were led into the OR. Now, the twins are in for a long NICU stay, so we will continue to post updates here and ask for your prayers. Tonight, we ask for prayers for Calvin and Simeon’s continued heartbeats and growth and protection against developing any serious preemie complications, and for Hope’s recovery and stamina as she re-enters the new mother cycle.

Couldn't help but think the waiting for the twins' birth during Advent season was no accident. The anticipation was a perfect backdrop as we celebrate the waiting and birth of baby Jesus. Prayers continue and I love their names! When will their siblings get to meet them?

Thank you for the update and prayer requests. We will be offering prayers for the twins for protection and proper functioning of their still developing body. May the staff remain diligent and attentive to their needs, providing expert care and treatment. May God provide the rest necessary for Hope and you so that your bodies are able to recover and be strong with all the additional demands.
