Praise the Lord!!! We are celebrating that today I hit 30 weeks, and the twins are still safely growing inside. The 30-week mark is a huge milestone in terms of preemie outcomes in the NICU. Thank you for praying with us!!

I had a really positive ultrasound today and have had several days of excellent reports on the many-times-daily fetal heart tracing monitors. My doctor today shared that the Fetal Intervention team was honestly very pleasantly surprised by how positive the umbilical blood flow in the Little Twin has been the past several days, and they do not have a concrete explanation for it. My doctor again emphasized that we're taking it one day at a time, and she reassured us that for today the Little Twin is doing well. They’ve scheduled my delivery for the 26th of December (32 weeks), with the caveat again that I could urgently deliver sooner. Gwen said she’s praying for Christmas babies, and if it comes to that, then we will rejoice in welcoming their precious gifts of life into our family as we also remember on that day the greatest Gift of Life to the world.

All things considered, Gwen and James are doing well at home with Grandma (Hope’s Mom), who is very much channeling Hope’s spirit to the kids and zeal for running the house. And so we thank God that they are not feeling the full brunt of Hope’s absence as they could otherwise.

  • Praise God for preserving the twins inside Hope until 30 weeks!
  • Please pray that Hope’s doctor team would continue to be surprised by dominantly forward blood flow (not absent or reverse) in the umbilical cord of the Little Twin.
  • Please pray the babies make it to 32 weeks!
