Greyson had a very long day today. He had surgery this morning to place his central line for treatment, and then was moved and admitted to the BMT unit. They like to have multiple accesses during transplant in case they need them so even though he already has a port, they decided to add this central line with two lumens. Greyson has been experiencing some pain and discomfort from the line placement so please pray for him to be able to rest tonight and for his pain to go away!
He has a hard day ahead of him tomorrow as he will be starting chemo to kill off his bone marrow in preparation for transplant and getting many blood draws throughout the day (through his central line). Starting chemo will, I think, be particularly hard on him and us because he has spent the last couple of months feeling well despite having to treat his cancer. To go from feeling okay to feeling extremely icky is going to be very hard. ๐๐งก๐๏ธ
