Greyson had some problems with his blood pressure being too high yesterday but they were able to get it down and he has otherwise remained stable.

Today’s rounds seemed encouraging.  This morning’s xray looked much better than it had been looking and they are able to start weaning him on the vent with the goal of extubation ‘as soon as safely possible’.

They have discussed moving forward with the MRI today but they likely won’t yet.  He is still on too many meds for the doctors to feel comfortable sending him to MRI.

Greyson is showing signs of delirium which is caused by some of the medications he is on to keep him sedated. They are going to try to wean some of these but it is a challenge since he can’t be awake while intubated.

His kidneys and liver are still very sick. They are doing their best to treat them and let them rest but they have also been necessary for helping him fight the infection so they have been pushed hard.   Hopefully, as his infection continues to clear, and he is able to be extubated, his liver and kidneys will have a chance to heal.

Overall, his doctors are happy with his progress 💚🧡🎗️
