The Bluitt Family
The Bluitt boys are getting better and stronger, day by day.
All of the boys were on the 5th floor together yesterday and were able to see one another and chat together. During their time together they were made aware of their sister's passing.
They all had close friends with them and all were glad to have the company. Eli and his friend played football on the XBox, Levi and his friends played UNO and Joe and his buddies did what 17 year olds do, listen to Joe's Spotify playlist and chat.
Levi has been discharged and he is getting around pretty well with his back and neck brace but will have to wear both for probably 6 more weeks.
One boy down and 2 to go!
They have gotten an Air BB close to the hospital so that Levi will be comfortable and he will be able to see his brothers and parents.
Eli felt better yesterday and we saw more smiles from him. They set him up on the side of the bed, yesterday, for the first time. He was encouraged by that! He is still in pain from his abdominal surgery, so pray that that decreases. His digestive systems have not fully awoken from surgery but that is expected and may not awake for a couple of days, but pray that his systems start functioning normally so that he is on the road to being discharged. They were able to remove both of the drains from his back, today.
Joe has definitely been more himself the last two days. We are seeing that personality of his and he has been making us all laugh. He had a group of friends come by Sunday and close friends with him yesterday. We are still waiting on the tool for them to operate on his ankle and surgery which has now been scheduled for tomorrow. He needs to get this done to be one step closer to discharge. He had his first PT session today and enjoyed it. He was able to sit on the side of the bed and also sit upright in a chair.
Pray for continued healing for all boys, that pain be minimal, Joe has his surgery on ankle tomorrow and Eli's digestive system begin functioning. We want these boys and their mom and dad home, and we are getting closer to that day by day.
