The Bluitt Family
Yesterday was a turning point in terms of the boys conditions and they are moving in the right direction!
Levi is doing so good! He has the nurses' at his beck and call and he knows it. When asked if he was ready to go back to school, he said that "I kind of like this break." He has been up and walking multiple times and has been playing XBox and Connect 4 with friends and family. He said that he will be back ballin' for the second game.
Eli had the surgery yesterday afternoon to close his incision and was extubated after. He was happy to have the tube removed but was in pain. They were able to get his pain under control and he was sleeping well last night.
Joe, oh what a day he had!!! After his arm surgery, Joe was extubated and was a chatterbox. He has been giving us smiles, talking and was able to spend some time with a good friend last night, chatting away like old men. He has been in pain and it has been hard for him to get comfortable due to his back surgery/pain from that incision. He wanted to let all of his friends know "he's good." He said "I will be back"- in the Terminator voice.
Pray for both Eli and Joe to have minimal pain today/for their pain to be controlled and for both to be able to rest comfortably.
Mom and dad are handling this situation better than I can explain. I am in awe daily at the strength they have. Amanda just says, "Jesus". When I tell you the peace that they feel can only come from Him- the peace is strong and thick. Continue to push those prayers their way- they feel them on a supernatural level. They were able to get away from the hospital for a couple of hours last night and have a sit down dinner with friends.
