Adam, Randi and Jonah made it to Boston last night—and thanks to Rachel Fox, the trip there was pretty unforgettable. Rachel hooked them up BIG TIME with Delta and they were treated like celebrities from start to finish. They were driven to and from the plane in a Porsche, and the captain even announced Jonah on the flight and the entire plane cheered for him. Talk about starting this trip with some serious love. Thank you, Rachel, for making that happen.
They arrived in Boston and, of course, started the trip the only appropriate way—with delicious lobster rolls.
Jonah had his pre-op appointment this morning and is officially ready for surgery tomorrow with the amazing Dr. Baird at Boston Children’s. They’ll arrive at the hospital at 6:00 AM, with surgery scheduled for 7:30 AM and expected to take about six hours.
Dr. Baird’s goal is to safely remove as much of the remaining tumors as possible. The tissue will also be carefully saved for additional testing and potential future trials and treatments—something we have learned is incredibly important as we continue exploring every possible option for Jonah.
Most importantly, Jonah is ready. We feel incredibly grateful that he is in such capable hands and that we were able to get him to Boston so quickly.
We’ll update everyone tomorrow as we know more. In the meantime, please keep the prayers coming—for Dr. Baird and her team, for a safe and successful surgery, for as much tumor as possible to be removed, and for another smooth recovery for Jonah.
Tomorrow is a big day. Let’s get this done.
