A really amazing Jonah update this morning!

Dr. Baird came by to see Jonah this morning and said he is way ahead of schedule in his recovery and doing incredibly well — so well that she is releasing him TODAY!

We are all flying home to Atlanta on a 4:30 flight!

Just to put that into perspective: Jonah had a nine-hour brain surgery two days ago. Today, he is up, feeling good and isn't even asking for Tylenol. It is honestly incredible to watch.

This kid is already defying the odds, and we believe with everything in us that he is going to keep doing exactly that.

Next steps are simple for now: get home, keep recovering, let Jonah be Jonah and get him ready to begin radiation as planned on September 8. One step at a time. One win at a time.

Thank you to every single person who has checked in, prayed, sent messages and continued to surround this family with so much love. A huge thank you to Genevieve, who showed up and surprised us yesterday (minus getting her car towed, it was a perfect visit), and to Adam's Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Irv, who also came by to spend time with Jonah and the family. It meant so much.

The prayers are working. Please keep them coming. As Jonah heads into the next phase of treatment, we are going to keep surrounding him with positivity, hope and the absolute belief that he can continue to defy the odds.

And to Dr. Baird, Dr. Filbin and the entire Boston team — there really aren't words for how grateful we are. We came here looking for hope and the very best people to help Jonah, and we are leaving feeling incredibly grateful to have this team continuing to work alongside his doctors in Atlanta.

Two days after a nine-hour brain surgery, our boy is going HOME.

That's a pretty incredible win.

Bye, Boston. We love you. Atlanta, we're coming home — and we have a lot of living, laughing and fighting left to do.

I don't now the Blick family, but have been following this story through mutual friends and wanted to send words of encouragement as well as a possible suggestion. If the family hasn't already been connected with Hogs for the Cause, please look into the organization. They are based in New Orleans but help families across the country and their entire focus is supporting pediatric brain cancer. Our family has lots of connections with individuals closely tied to the organization. https://hogsforthecause.org/
