Hi All. Deb S took us to  the Podiatrist this morning and it looks like I will be having heel surgery some time next week. While talking with the young doctor,  I learned that my entire knee was not fully xrayed in the emergency room like it should have been.  The ER tried to do as little as possible and it took two attempts  just to get an xray of the lower 🦵 leg in addition to the foot.  The lower leg xray was to include the lower leg and the throbbing knee i had pointed out numerous times.  It didn't.   So we did a knee xray today and i have a fractured knee in addition to the heel.  I am to see an orthopedic doctor,  but today is now 8 days after the fall and first appointment is Sept 8th, three weeks after the fall to have an ortho look at my xray and see me.  The heel break was a clean fracture and not shatttered like i feared.  Glass half full. 
I'm still in quite a bit of pain. I'm in a new splint cast to keep it immobilized until next week.  I dont have any dates yet, the swelling still needs to go down more before they will do it, but its supposed to be next week.
