I'm home 🏡

My foot is repaired!  I am home now, laying in bed, with my leg elevated. I am not in any pain YET, but as soon as this nerve blocker wears off, the pain is going to get real.  They put 3 screws and metal plate in my left foot.  They were careful with my knee which is still injured and I get the knee MRI on Monday.  I'm hopeful that the grade of my acl tear is not a bad one and that the given instructions for healing will be to keep it rested, elevated, and immobilized. All of the things I gotta do now anyway.  I am extremely hopeful for this since the pain associated with my knee has gone from about a 9 to a 4.  Which is encouraging. 
Thank you for your encouraging messages here and via text.  I can't tell you how much joy it brings me to read them.  Thank you. Please continue to pray for me and that I will be back to normal by Veteran' Day.  10 weeks is a long time. 
For now, i plan to sleep the weekend away.
