Teddie’s Journey To A Cure
🧸Day 101
Day 100 post–bone marrow transplant is a huge milestone in Teddie’s journey! This is a special checkpoint in transplant recovery: it shows her donor cells have engrafted, her immune system is gaining strength, and the highest-risk period is behind her. 🙌 There is still a lot to go but her GVHD seems managed and her labs look stable. Her heart continues to show a very mild dilation in one artery which was discovered prior to initial treatment. Her heart function is strong and this issue seems unchanged. Overall, her team seems pleased with her recovery so far.
Her marrow is still 100% donor in the myeloid line (infection-fighting and blood-building cells) and 98% in the lymphoid line (immune cells like T and B cells). Tiny shifts like this are common, and her doctors aren’t concerned. We were warned early on that this might show up from time to time. Right now it’s just something we continue to monitor.
The biggest news of all? Teddie has been FULL of energy. All. The. Time. She’s running, jumping, dancing, and ready for anything. As soon as the sun dips in the evening, you’ll find us outside riding bikes, playing tag, or tossing a ball. These are the days we prayed so hard for, and we’re praising God for the gift of watching her soak up moments of her carefree childhood.
Yes, there are small changes in her labs, but for now, we watch, trust, and hold onto joy.
Today is extra special because it’s her dad’s birthday! We are so thankful for his unwavering support, love, and strength throughout this journey. We couldn’t ask for a better support than our favorite guy.
🙏 Please keep praying:
▫️That her donor cells stay strong
and her chimerism holds steady
▫️For her incredible donor who
gave us this gift
▫️For our friends still in the thick of
their healing journeys
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” —Matthew 6:34
