Taylor Family
Hi all. This is Patricia Peterson and I am posting on behalf of Jodi and her family.
Most of you were aware Jodi and family were on vacation last weekend and her cancer took a turn for the worse. She was admitted last Sunday to the ER and then ICU in Cancun, Mexico.
Jodi was in ICU from Sunday until Tuesday evening. Due to Jodi's urgent medical needs, Scott made the decision to get her cleared to fly home on an Medivac (ambulance airplane) that was equipped with a critical care doctor and nurse. Insurance would only pay to have her flown to Florida and Scott opted to pay out of pocket to ensure Jodi would make it home to Minnesota where her family and friends are.
Scott's sister was able to fly to Mexico to watch over the kids while Scott was with Jodi. Unfortunately the kids had to fly separately from their parents and arrived home late Wednesday, April 2nd in time to see their mom.
Shortly after the kids arrived and were able to see Jodi, she passed peacefully with her family at 8:16pm.
Right now plans are being set for the funeral and visitation and I will update as soon as possible.
The immediate need is for financial donations to cover the cost of the hospital stay in Mexico, the Medivac, and the funeral.
I will update when other needs are needed.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for the family.
