Arias Journey to health
**Update:**
I want to take a moment to give thanks to our Lord for guiding us through this incredibly challenging journey. A year ago, I felt broken, overwhelmed, and uncertain about how we would ever make it to this point. It all seemed so far out of reach. But here we are today, and all the glory belongs to Him. As we prepare to transition into the maintenance phase of Aria’s treatment, I humbly ask for your continued prayers and support.
Today, we’re overjoyed to share that Aria completed her final chemotherapy session for this cycle! She finished IM2 without needing any blood or platelet transfusions, which is such a blessing. Now, we’ll have a short break before beginning the maintenance phase of her treatment on April 28th.
Throughout this journey, we’ve been using an integrative approach alongside Aria’s chemotherapy, and we truly believe it has made a positive difference. Early on, after every chemotherapy infusion, she would develop fevers that often landed us in the hospital. But over time, her condition has improved, and we feel this approach has played a role in her progress.
When Aria was first diagnosed, her leukemia was classified as standard risk. However, just 22 days into chemotherapy, her risk level was elevated to high due to the discovery of a genetic mutation. This mutation has been difficult to process it’s aggressive and carries the risk of progressing from ALL to AML, which is a much more challenging condition to treat.
Unfortunately, the integrative treatments we’ve been using to support Aria’s recovery aren’t covered by insurance. This has been a financial challenge, and we’re reaching out for help to continue providing these treatments for her. If you’re able to donate, we would be deeply grateful. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. Donations can be made directly to us through the link in our bio on Support Now, a platform similar to GoFundMe but without the fees that take a percentage of your gift. If donating isn’t an option, we would be just as grateful if you could share Aria’s story to help us reach others who might be able to support her fight.
We’re also in the process of setting up a GoFundMe, as it’s a well-known platform that many people feel more comfortable using to donate. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing by us, praying for us, and supporting us as we continue this journey. We are so grateful for each of you.
