One Week Post Op - Wow what a week!

Good morning, friends. It's been one heck of a week. The surgery was Monday 9/29, and honestly it was more invasive than I ever imagined. I guess I didn't research the procedure enough to really know how the recovery would be. That can be good I guess or bad. because this is pretty rough. Per the Dr's, the procedure was an A+ and they are extremely pleased that they got all of the cancer. I was released from the hospital Friday afternoon and have been doing a lot of resting, sleeping and taking pain pills. 

Thank you all so much for the texts, calls, flowers, food donations, and especially prayers. I couldn't have done it without all of my prayer warriors. I will have three more rounds of chemo, but I think that will be a breeze (hope so anyway) compared to this surgery. Besides a full hysterectomy, they also removed my appendix as it was diseased as well. Nothing was found on my colon, Thank God. The HIPEC procedure was intense they tell me, and I have the scars to prove it. But as my brother says it, scars are sexy!

We will have quite a few more trips to Mayo within the next few weeks/months for follow ups and chemo.
