Today was another difficult day as we continue to learn more about Susannah’s brain condition and face some important decisions about what comes next, while her body is dealing with other complications..

Pray for Brain function: Her brain is showing signs of activity, however, she has still not demonstrated signs of awareness. There are still many unknowns.

Pray for bringing Cranial pressure down. This remains an important part of managing her brain injury.

Pray to stabilize Blood pressure. The doctors need to perform a balancing act to keep it within a normal range.

Pray for Heart function. The new doctors on rotation expect recovery to take several months.

Pray for Lungs: She continues to have fluid in her lungs. There is also a blood clot that is being treated.

Pray for Decisions: We are facing some very difficult decisions in the coming days.  We are considering procedures that would allow Susannah to receive longer-term support while giving her more time for potential neurological recovery.

Please pray for wisdom, clarity, and peace for Karen and me as we work through these decisions. We want to make choices out of love for Susannah and what would be best for her.

A little moment of joy: Susannah’s hair has been braided! It’s a small thing, but seeing her hair fixed up and looking a little more like herself brought us some joy in the middle of a very difficult day.

We continue to trust that God has Susannah in His hands. He is faithful, and he is with us, even when we don’t understand what lies ahead. Thank you for continuing to pray for Susannah and our family.
