Three Month Update

Hello all,

Alyx would like to express her gratitude towards all who have provided support since Paul’s passing. She was able to buy for him a beautiful locally made urn from an artist in Boulder where he now resides with Dublin. 

The last three months without him have been very difficult. Alyx had to move out of their home they spent the last several years together in, and last week was terminated from her job. At the end of this month she will be losing her health benefits. She is fortunately living with friends at this time to assist her with some living expenses.

While she continues to work through her grief and find new employment, we appreciate if you have the ability to do so, to provide any financial or employment support to help provide her ongoing bereavement care. As many of us know, the job market is very difficult right now and losing Paul is only making it more so. If you have any full-time remote connections, please feel free to reach out with resources. Alyx is a skilled operations specialist and manager with experience at SaaS and small tech companies and we know any employer would be lucky to have her on their team.

We also wanted to share a couple ways that you can honor Paul’s memory going forward.

His favorite cocktail: Paul’s loved a Carajillo and made them often at home. If you like a drink, this espresso cocktail is easy to make. You just need a fresh espresso shot, licor 43, and ice. 

Please take care of yourself the best you can. Find someplace beautiful to be in nature, challenge yourself in it to feel your own strength. Be in it to ground yourself. Paul enjoyed hiking, climbing, and meditation. Spend time with your loved ones (whether people or paws). Watch your favorite comfort movie. Play your most loved video game again.
