First and foremost, thank you all for your kindness during this time.
Overall Steve is recovering well. Since the last update, we confirmed he has 2nd degree burns and a torn rotator cuff. They are still assessing the other injuries and the burns, as the skin tissue can continue to burn for up to 3 days, but don’t expect it to change too much. He required more oxygen last night and they have since kept him as comfortable as they can to ensure he’s getting enough rest for his body to heal. Currently they are not allowing visitors but we will provide an update as soon as they open it back up.

The kids are doing well and are staying with family nearby, enjoying time with cousins. They are feeling a bit like a fish out of water with a lot of the future still unknown, but are optimistic that Steve will be home soon to start the healing process. Kevin is continuing karate classes later this week and Mason will return to work this weekend. They are so grateful for the outpour of love and support from friends, family, and the community.
