Steve And Kristi Hoffman
The Hoffman family would like to extend their thankfulness and extreme gratitude for the prayers, kind words of encouragement and healing, as well as monetary donations. Several have gifted grocery store cards, and so much more. Your generosity and kindness during this time means so very much. The following is an update from Kristi:
We had appointments with three of Steve's doctors last week and all of them were very encouraging! As of May 25th, the lab work that sent us to the ER has improved by 90%! The integrative doctor told Steve that he is healthy. Steve gave him a questioning look and the doctor said, "Your labs are good. You are healthy. You just have this cancer. You are going to be around for a while." It felt like a burden was lifted with that statement! He said that Steve should be able to work again. He also said that we are doing everything right and know what we are doing nutritionally.
The ortho oncology surgeon was happy with his healing from the surgery and his progress in walking with the walker. Steve is to transition from the walker to a cane now. She wants to see him back in four months and she wants him to walk in without the walker, maybe with a cane, but preferably neither. She cleared him to start/try yoga through the integrative center. Then we met with Steve's primary oncologist. He entered the room wearing a mask, but we could see that he was smiling! He was very happy with the lab work, because Steve had only had the old school cancer med they were able to start him on in the hospital. The doctor is hoping that the labs continue to improve.
We got the call on Thursday, that the ortho oncology surgeon says radiation is not needed at this time! We are hoping and praying to hear the same for chemo, if the current treatment keeps bringing the numbers down.
God has been with us in this storm and we are grateful. Thank you for your prayers, thoughts and support over these past couple of months! We appreciate it so much!
