Shelton Update - May 22
Shelton Chapman
This marks week 2 of 6 for Shelton's chemotherapy and radiation treatments. The good news is he still hasn't experienced nausea from the chemo (thank you Zofran!) and headaches from brain inflamation have been just a few. He will likely lose hair in the areas where the radiation goes in and comes out of his head but still looking good today :) His blood work (done every two weeks) looks pretty good, which sometimes chemo can affect platelets and red/white blood cell count, so we are counting that as a win as well. We will find how the neuro-oncologist feels about where we are on Thursday this week.
Georgia is in the final weeks of school, which will leave her more time to spend with her dad this summer. She will also be going to a one-week acting workshop at the New York Film Academy and may also return for a week to Camp Thunderbird.
Thank you for your thoughts, positive energy, and prayers. We are so grateful for the many friends, colleagues, and family who are supportive near and far.
