Hi all,

I wanted to update you on Mikey's upcoming week. We have a few appointments to schedule, as suggested during our visit with his craniofacial team last week.

First, we will be seeing an audiologist to conduct one of several hearing tests for Mikey. Then, on Thursday, we have another long day ahead in St. Petersburg at the hospital. This appointment is extremely important because we’ll be meeting Mikey’s new neurologist, and we hope to gain a better understanding of his epilepsy.

After that, we'll have a brief break to relax before Mikey's appointment with his CDH doctor. This will be an update appointment to discuss both neurology and plastics.

Also, Mikey’s G-tube has been broken for about a year now, and we need to discuss replacing it. Thankfully, Mike was able to "MacGyver" it and fix the broken tab, so it’s still functional for now.
I also want to give a big thank you to a few amazing friends who came over last week to help prep meals. It truly made things so much easier for me, as I didn’t have to worry about what to feed the family. Grocery shopping has been one of the hardest tasks for me lately, not just getting out but also the mental load of figuring out what to make—it’s been overwhelming. It was such a blessing that they not only shopped and planned a menu but also helped prep everything. It was so nice to have their company, and it really allowed me to focus on Mikey’s appointments and the needs of the girls.

We also had another friend send over dinner, and I can’t thank you enough for that. These gestures mean so much, and they have a huge impact on my life. Thank you again!

Mikey also had a playdate with his buddy Grayson! It was nice to get these boys together as we have been trying to plan something for over a year. As you know going to the playground is a anxiety filled task but this was a wonderful time and the boys had fun! 

I’m going to try and do a Sunday update moving forward, and maybe another one after the bigger appointment days.
