Hi everyone,

I wanted to share an important update about our sweet boy Mikey. On September 18, Mikey will be undergoing brain surgery to address complications from his Chiari malformation. This is a major step in his medical journey, and while we are hopeful for good outcomes, this will be one of the most difficult things our family has ever faced.

Because of Mikey’s complex medical history, we’ve been told to expect a hospital stay of 7–14 days, with pre-op appointments and follow-up care requiring long travel from our home in Florida. Doctors have also recommended that we stay nearby for several days after discharge in case of complications.

We're doing everything we can to prepare — emotionally, medically, and financially. But the truth is, travel, hotels, gas, food, and uncovered medical expenses are already starting to add up.
