Update

Hello Everyone,

Thank you so much for all of the love, support, well wishes, calls, and offers of help during this incredibly difficult time.

I’d like to update you with more info as we have been getting dribs and drabs today from the superintendent of our building. From what we’ve gathered our apartment complex experienced a fire that started on the top floor, and travelled through the roof, but firewall built during a recent renovation stopped the fire from reaching our apartment. The damage to our unit appears to be primarily smoke/water-related. At this point we don’t know the full extent of the damage or whether the building will be condemned. We have been let into the building to get incidentals, and are pretty sure most of the furniture and clothing is unsalvageable.

We are still displaced for foreseeable future, and waiting on more information. Our cats, Penelope and Noodle, were treated for smoke inhalation and will be staying at Shannon’s work (Angell MSPCA) for observation. Her coworkers have all been so generous with their time and aide.

At this time I have adjusted the asking amount, and we are no longer seeking additional donations. Your support has buoyed our spirits and brought us so much comfort. Thank you all from the bottoms of our hearts.

More updates to come. ❤️🙏

Thankfully,

Sean, Shannon, Noodle and Penny
