Update as of 6/24/2024; We are currently waiting on the green light from Seattle Children's Hospital where Scarlett will be a part of their Brainchild 3 clinical trial. This requires an extended stay in Seattle for two months during the initial treatment. After those initial two months, we will have to travel back every month for the foreseeable future. Scarlett is doing amazing and all of our doctors are beyond happy with the success of radiation treatment which shrunk her tumor over 50% and is still working to her benefit. With the help of Brainchild 3, we are praying and hopeful that this immunotherapy treatment can continue to kill off the remains of the tumor and give Scarlett a head start and a strong fighting chance against the battle that is DMG (Diffudr Midline Glioma). Scarlett is approaching her 6th birthday this upcoming Tuesday 6/25 and we are to give her the best possible birthday given all the constant pokes for PICC lines and IVs, new port accesses, and every surgery she has had to endure during this difficult journey.
