I’m not really sure how to thank everyone that has helped our family through the extremely difficult time of Savannah’s recovery.

The texts.
The calls.
The messages.
The Facebook posts.
The offers.
The meals.
The donations.
The love.

“Thank you” just doesn’t seem enough. It’s just not enough to show how much we sincerely appreciate you all. 

Savannah is now out of the hospital only because we gave up waiting on the approval of inpatient physical therapy that she needed so that she could begin outpatient PT sooner, as she still cannot walk without a walker. 

Turns out we made the right choice bringing Savannah home Friday rather than having her lie in the hospital for days while waiting for the approval. She was finally approved for ONE WHOLE DAY of inpatient PT on Monday. One day. Laughable for someone who cannot walk.

Anyway, she is slowly improving! She still has 4 more weeks in her neck brace, and her broken vertebrae and broken sternum hurt all day but that is to be expected for weeks, unfortunately. 

We’re hoping that her concussion symptoms begin to dissipate sooner rather than later but we understand it takes time to recover from significant concussions like she has. 

Overall her spirit is improving as she does, which we all love as “Savannah Quotes of the Day” only come when Savannah is in good spirits 😊
