Thanks for being here...

Hello dear friends, 
I first want to thank Danny and Tucci for setting this thing up. It feels really helpful to have a place to write updates and keep y’all posted on what is going on for me. As I’m writing this, I haven’t yet invited anyone to join this platform yet. I’m just getting used to the idea. That’s funny. I’m just writing this random journal entry type thing into the void. Ha. You’ll see it soon enough I suppose. That is the point, right? 

It’s so vulnerable and exposing to share all of these things with my larger community. I want to, and it feels necessary, but it doesn’t feel easy. That said, what does make it feel worlds easier is knowing that you all are out there, and apparently deeply care about me. There is truly no greater gift than that. So thank you for being here and showing up and having love and concern for me and my little family. 

What I can say right now is that I’m 6 days post-op from a small surgery in San Diego, and I’m feeling really strong and good. Yay. Also, I’m home now too. So double yay. 

Next week, I’ll write an update about what’s going on with my body, the upcoming large surgery, and some specifics of this weird disease. Right now I wanted to share a quick hello, a heartfelt thank you, and to write something here so I can invite people to join, and they’ll have something to read.
