1 week out

Hi everyone,

Thank you all so much for your continued thoughts, prayers, love, and support throughout Sam’s breast cancer journey. It truly means more to us than words can express. ❤️ We know it’s been a little while since our last update, so we wanted to take a moment to keep everyone in the loop.

We have no more appointments scheduled before surgery on October 28th, and her arrival time has been adjusted slightly to 10:00 a.m. Now, we wait for the big day to arrive.

I think the reality of everything is starting to sink in for Sam, but in true Sam fashion, she’s still more worried about everyone else than she is about herself. Even in the middle of everything she’s facing, her first instinct is to make sure everyone around her is taken care of. Whether it’s helping out at the kids’ school by baking treats for their special food days, thinking about her clients, or simply worrying about the kids and me, she continues to put everyone else first.

That’s just who she is. ❤️

I know the recovery ahead is going to be especially difficult for her. Anyone who knows Sam knows that sitting still and doing nothing is just not in her nature! 😂 But this is one time she’s going to have to slow down, focus on herself, and allow others to take care of her for a change.

As we get closer to surgery day, I know the nerves and worries are starting to creep in, even if she doesn’t always show it. She’s been so strong through this journey, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t scared. Sometimes, the strongest people are the ones who need a little extra encouragement, too.

If you see Sam or have her number, please take a moment to reach out and let her know you’re thinking of her. A quick text, a few kind words, or a simple reminder that she’s not facing this alone can go a long way. Every bit of encouragement seems to lift her spirits, and I know those messages will mean even more as we get closer to October 28th.

We can’t thank you all enough for continuing to stand beside Sam and our family through this journey. Your love, prayers, and support have helped carry us through some difficult days, and we’re so grateful to have so many wonderful people in our corner.

This may be our last update before we reach the night before surgery. Until then, please keep Sam in your thoughts and prayers as we prepare for this next big step in her fight against breast cancer. ❤️
