Sam’s morning took a small turn for the worse today. She was having trouble releasing a lot of the air that she was inhaling and her lungs were starting to fill with too much pressure. They gave her some medication that has temporarily paralyzed her so that only the ventilator is controlling how much oxygen she’s getting. The doctor said she is as sick and asthmatic as they’ve ever treated here before and that she’s in pretty rough shape. But they’ve got everything under control and her vitals are looking far better and she looks very relaxed. Probably going to be another 4-5 days in here.
