Hey All,
We just wanted to say “THANK YOU!!” to everyone who has been a part of this journey and has joined #TeamRowan. Your giving and sharing is so encouraging to us and we can’t express our gratitude enough.
I wanted to give an update today in regard to the power of help. We all have people we rely on and those we couldn’t do life without, but having a child with significant disabilities amplifies this to multiple degrees. Having 4 children is an adventure in itself, but with Rowan’s disabilities, no matter how hard we try, Katie and I are almost split between Rowan and the rest of the kiddos. We do all we can to always do things together, but honestly, it’s hard. We have so many people in our corner that help with Rowan and the other kiddos, and we couldn’t do it without you.
I write this update currently sitting in the airport while having traveled the last 3 days for work. While I’m very happy with my job, travel is required and that gets difficult. I HATE being away from home, like it absolute tears me up to be gone, but it needs to be done. With this, it is always amazing to see how our community steps up and helps to support Katie at home while I’m away.
So to all of our community, and especially to my wife, Katie, I want to say thank you for helping me/us. It is very difficult for me to ever admit that I need help, but I couldn’t do this life without you all!
I know this may not be the picture I should choose, but this shows some of the chaos that exists when I’m gone!
