Rowan had a great week of therapy! On Monday he had outpatient PT where he worked on side sitting and trying to reach for toys. This exercise will teach him to go from the sitting to crawling position. On Tuesday, he had early intervention OT and they worked on Rowan’s arm strength by pushing up from the ground. The picture attached is from this session. It may look like nothing is happening but Rowan was working so hard! Lastly, Rowan has early intervention PT and the goal of this session was to reach for toys at the shoulder height. He also gets his right arm taped with kinesio tape to promote an open hand. His stroke mainly affected his right hand so you’ll see us mention a lot of exercises that are geared towards that. Overall, Rowan had a great week of therapy and he loves his therapists! Hopefully we have a crawling baby soon!
