The Roundtree Family
I want to start by saying how incredibly grateful to the whole community across the whole country that have donated, sent well wishes, and care packages, visitors and helpers. I am astounded by how much every one has been here for all of us. We have absolutely blown past our initial goal, not that that will ever compare to just the sheer amount of people who donated.
For privacy I will try to use the kids names as little as possible per their request in these updates by the way.
Much better days for the littles, with good news for the Youngest, he's working hard with physical therapists to stand on his good leg and pivot to his chair, and has a lot more energy. He did it successfully and is having stretches of no pain! (This does mean this Aunt Emily has had her hands full on entertainment duty for one, not complaining)
Him and Sister got to hang out in sister's room and watch a movie and make some Slime.
Sister made it into a Wheelchair to go around the hospital, meet the visiting Mini horse (named Savannah) and visit her brothers. She misses all her friends and "are worried that they are worried about her" She had a lovely time getting visits from her teachers with messages from all the classes. She has enjoyed talking to a few friends on the phone today. She is always concerned for her brothers, and lovvvesss her squishy ducks.
Oldest is pretty sleepy and out of it, but is standing and our goal is to walk around the halls tomorrow. He's communication and speaking better, and swelling is down significantly.
We were able to find a rental van in town that has an accessible van that can fit two wheelchairs and have seats for the rest of the adults, your donations goes a long way to get these kiddos around for the next couple months.
We are also so so grateful to Tim's work buddies who rallied together to make their home here accessible with a ramp, the speed at which you got the proper permits and men to work on this project was so shockingly fast, Grandpa Patrick has been moved to Tears (good kind) every time he thinks about it.
We love you all and again are so so grateful for everything. Thank you for keeping our family in your minds and hearts and prayers.
