Oldest had an appointment this morning and got his Staples out! No more needing to pack his small drainage wound and he can start to let that heal on its own. He's got a check up with the Ophthalmologist tomorrow morning to check on how his eyes and vision are doing post reconstruction.
We also had a small private ashes viewing with the family and kids to let them say goodbye before the Ashes are shipped to the funeral home in Winlock, WA. Lots of tears from everyone but I think the children were grateful to see the boxes and give a hug before we wished them goodbye and I guess see them later.
Auntie Tami's birthday was today, and the Youngest helped Auntie Emily pick out a present and we all signed a card and had some cupcakes, so that gave them something to look forward to.
I also helped get the kids Halloween Costumes, by facetiming while in the aisle at Walmart, so we can go to a Trunk or Treat event or two with the kids.

I'm continuing to pray for the family. I cannot imagine what you are all going through losing four members all at the same time. So glad the kids are starting the healing process physically but it will take a long time for all of you to heal emotionally and psychologically from your loss. Do not try to rush it. Please seek counseling for all of you with a licensed counselor for such a tragic trauma. Patricia H. Todd in Sylvania, Ohio. God bless and be very near all of you.

You are doing a beautiful job caretaking. Your ability to hold space to allow for the grief to rise to the surface along with creating moments of joy is so impressive. I hope you are getting to use your artsy talents to decorate and feel joy as well. 💛💛💛💛
