When Yashira was born, she had to face a big challenge right away. She needed to stay under special lights that were very warm and humid. These lights helped keep her sensitive skin safe and made sure she stayed hydrated. She was intubated to help her breath due to her lung immaturity and was kept at a very high oxygen rate. Even though it was hard, it was funny to see her wear some cool sunglasses. Trying to keep our spirits up and see the humor in hardship, we used to say she was "tanning".

Cuando Yashira nació, tuvo que enfrentar un gran desafío de inmediato. Necesitaba permanecer bajo luces especiales que eran muy cálidas y humedecidas. Estas luces ayudaban a mantener su piel sensible segura y a que se mantuviera hidratada. Fue entubada para ayudarla a respirar debido a la inmadurez de sus pulmones y se mantuvo con un nivel de oxígeno muy alto. A pesar de que fue difícil, era gracioso verla usar unas gafas de sol muy chic. Intentando mantener nuestro ánimo y ver el humor en las dificultades, solíamos decir que ella estaba "tomando sol".
