Today, Renna and I went sledding… and it was equal parts hilarious, exhausting, and heart-melting.

She actually loved riding on the four-wheeler more than the sled. Every time we got moving, she tried to crawl right out of what felt like a giant riverboat of a sled. She loved it and hated it at the exact same time — big smiles, little protests, and this mama trying to keep her safe while dragging us through the snow.

And the whole time, I kept thinking about her future service dog.

A service dog will help keep Renna safe in moments like this — helping her stay secure, helping guide her, and even helping with the physical pull on tough terrain so I’m not doing it all alone. Adventures like today are exactly why this dog will be life-changing for our family.

We are so incredibly grateful that we’ve already reached our fundraising goal, and now we’re sharing updates as we prepare for what’s ahead and continue building a cushion for Renna’s future needs.
