Update on Ray’s Health

Raymond Anderson

Over the past two weeks, Raymond has gone from the ER in Rancho Murrieta to a local rehabilitation clinic, and now to Loma Linda Hospital for further care.

As of 12/29/2024, doctors have confirmed he has stage 4 cancer, which is rapidly spreading from his spine to his chest. Alongside this, he requires dialysis and is in significant pain.

We are working hard to arrange for Ray to come home, ensuring he can be in a more comfortable setting despite medical and insurance challenges.

Currently, Ray is at Loma Linda Hospital, where visiting hours are from 10 AM to 6 PM, with a maximum of two visitors at a time. We encourage everyone to visit and show him love.

There truly are no words to share of all the lives you have touched in a positive way my friend. Love you like a brother and have been praying for you and your family. We have had some great memories in the lifting world through the years, as well as many wonderful conversations. The greatest was the night we were both inducted to the AAU Hall Of Fame. Continuing to pray for Ray and his loved ones'. He was there rooting on my brother "Martin Drake" during his battle w/Cancer ...... not only preparing to take over becoming AAU Strength sport Chairman, but most importantly, being his very dear friend! It is time for everyone to rally for Ray! Ray, I can so picture Martin looking down and saying, "Don't Stop Believing"as he roots you on.
