Hello again,

We have some big updates this week. Madeline went in on Thursday to get her scans to be set up for radiation. Her doctors decided that in order to be safe and only radiate the parts of her body that we need to she will have to be under sedation. We cannot risk her moving around during radiation. This was a bit of a bummer, but completely understandable.

We also received her chemotherapy schedule for the rest of the year. It is ALOT and it is rigorous. She will likely have times when her immune system is completely wiped out. We are going to pray fervently that despite very strong chemotherapy she remains healthy so that we can avoid hospital admissions and be home as much as possible. If we are able to stay on schedule we should be done with chemo by Christmas. We would love to be able to close this chapter and leave it in 2026.

We will be admitted to St. Vincent to stay inpatient beginning next Wednesday the 24th and will stay until Monday June 29th. She will receive sedated radiation and approximately 6 hours of chemotherapy infusions and IV fluids each day. Because of the sedation, long chemo sessions, and wanting to watch her very closely we will remain inpatient. Please pray for high quality care and great doctors and nurses. Being admitted in Green Bay will be a new experience for us. She will then have chemo again on July 1 and 8 as well as radiation every weekday through July 6. I don't expect any of you to memorize our schedule but I know that some of you are curious, so there is a picture of our next few weeks!

I know I said this before, but we really do have a very long road ahead of us. The rest of this year will be tough and will come with great responsibility as parents. This all feels daunting and overwhelming. If I can ask you all to pray here are our requests...
1. Strength and sustainment. This is going to be a test of endurance and we are going to need a level of perseverance and strength that can only come from the Lord.
2. Health for Madeline. Hearing that our four year old will likely have a white blood cell count of zero is terrifying. We are a social family and love to be around other people. Kaitlyn will also be back in school in the fall. Pray that we do not have to live in a bubble and that her immune system stays strong so that we can continue to be with people and that she can stay on track with chemo. We also want to pray away hospital admissions so that we can be home together as a family.
3. Knowledgable and kind doctors and nurses.
4. Resilience for all three of our girls. This is hard on our whole family and we need to make sure that Kaitlyn, Madeline, and Lilah all know that they are deeply loved and cared for.

Thank you for praying always. Thank you for being our village. We love you all.
